The Goose is out of the Bottle!

The Goose is out of the Bottle:
Did you know that?
You can relax for the goose is out of the bottle!
In the Koan Zen tradition they speak about this metaphor that Osho then interprets and shares about.
I personally heard about this during The Path of Love Retreat: I deeply resonated with it and personally enjoyed fun and space listening to its simple wisdom…
As human we sometime have the tendency to complicate our lives, trying to control or give structure where life simply wants to flow and to be as it is.
As human we can feel deeply addicted to pain or to useless drama and attachment to kind of entertain ourselves, instead of accepting and letting go of what we can’t control.
Doing so “we put the goose inside of the bottle” as a way to keep ourselves occupied and to distort reality.
When this happens, we then have reasons to complain about the fact that now there is a goose inside of the bottle and we can’t let it out without harming the bird or braking the bottle, and, of course, this two conditions get necessary.
This turns into our life drama, source of instability: to have a goose inside of a bottle and the need to change the situation again without destroying the two.
This self made situation takes then all our energies and resources as a self-sabotaging mechanism we establish for fear of being completely free, navigating life with peace of mind, simply detached from the need of pain.
The good news is: we don’t have to suffer, we don’t have to put a goose inside of a bottle in the first place!
We can enjoy a free goose and an empty bottle as metaphors of the original state we are born into: freedom and peace of mind.
